Thrift Store Find and A Question ...

I went to a new thrift store last week and found a couple of small Roseville bowls that I collect. These are the bowls I have blogged about previously that have the decorative painting on them, that can be easily soaked and scrubbed off. $1.99 each what a bargain. Now to the question... Does anyone subscribe to either Early American Life or new England Home magazines and what are your thoughts on them? Thanks in advance.

I used to subscribe to Early American Life- years and years ago. At that point it wasn't much about decorating though it was more about the history behind the places they featured. Do you have a Barnes & Noble you can check them out before subscribing? xo Diana

Hi Michelle, I really, really like EAL. The articles are so educational. One of my favorite articles last year was on early tin lighting - very interesting if you like history. Love looking at the homes too - although I will never own one that feature - they are pretty "pure"/antique not many reproduction pieces. Hope you like it. ~Ann

I have subscribed to EAL for years. I like the history. Most of the homes are museum quality but they are beautiful. Don't get NE Homes in California. Mary A
