Canning Jar Addiction

I love canning jars it's another Simple Pleasure! When I was in high  school, one of my friends mother had a clear Ball jar in her kitchen window filled with sea glass and I thought it was so pretty. In the past I have filled my jars with marbles, pine cones, sea glass, buttons and lace. I have heard some horror stories about pantry bugs in food so about 4 years ago I decided to start using them as food storage. I don't own any plastic storage containers and use jars for all my leftovers. I have never learned how to "can" or "put up" food but I have it on my someday list. I thought I would share some lovely images of these simple beauties with you.

Wow Michele and those are all your jars...Yep I'd say you are a Canning jar Collector..and they are all displayed so neat..I love it.. You know what as a kid and adult too before I got into prim that was all we had to store things in and I canned for years.
When jars got a chip or crack I threw them away and now I want to just kick myself knowing what all those Vintage Jars are worth now..

thanks for sharing I love them all!!

What wonderful photos...is there anything more pleasing about food than seeing it through glass...and pretty containers at that!
