| After carpentry work, before cleaning and oiling. |
| After |
My cousin Linda asked me if I would like our Aunts Blanket chest and I was thrilled. It needed some TLC as my Aunt is soon to be 101 years old, so I'm sure this chest is around 80-85 years old. My son did some carpentry work to stabilize it and I have oiled it about 10 times trying to help the aging wood. I think it looks awesome and am so grateful to my cousin for thinking of me! It now sits in my family room, I will show you pictures soon.

WHAT a treasure! You were blessed to have gotten it. I love what oiling does to old furniture..the way it just soaks down into the wood and "heals" it. xo Diana
