$ Store Christmas Banner Craft

I made this cute Christmas banner for about $1 and I wanted to share it with you. Michaels had scrapbook sheets 7 for $1 and I used 3 red sheets & 1green for this project. I also used 3 wooden letters that I painted white and a leftover piece of Christmas ribbon. Make 3 strips to the desired with and fold them each accordion style, attach both ends and flatten into a circle, glue a circle onto the back and front and decorate them with a "j", "o", "y". Glue on a piece of ribbon to hang and viola you have a super cute, cheap decoration.

Homemade Gift, Peppermint Hand Scrub ...

I made some homemade Christmas gifts of peppermint hand scrub and wanted to share the recipe with you.
I use 1 cup of white granulated sugar
1/4 cup organic coconut oil
5 drops of peppermint essential oil

Add the coconut oil into the sugar and stir until its thoroughly mixed. Add about 5 drop of pure essential oil and mix again. (I have seen people use olive oil but it has a sour smell and can spoil, so I wouldn't recommend it.)
Store in a glass jar. To use: scoop out about a tablespoons worth and thoroughly scrub your hands, rinse off with warm water and towel dry, your hands will be so soft! Enjoy!!

Shipshewana Indiana Amish

When I was in Amish Country a week and a half ago I met up with my friend from Wisconsin, Kathi and her husband Bud. We went to the Christmas parade and light ceremony together. Kathi and I are both huge fans of the Amish and she took some great pictures and said I could share them with you, thanks Kathi!

$$ Store Christmas Tray Craft

This craft project was very fun and easy. I purchased a couple of metal serving trays from the dollar tree and turned them into seasonal chalkboard plaques.

They come in 3 shapes.

Tape around the edge of the tray for easy painting.

I didn't have chalkboard paint so I just used black.

Score around the painters tape with a
sharp object for easy, clean removal.

$$ Store Christmas Tree Craft

I have been doing some dollar store crafting with the help of Evie lately. Keeping her busy while only spending one dollar per craft is great. I will be sharing them with you throughout the next couple of weeks. Remember this magazine/book craft from wayyyyy back In the day! It was fun and easy even though I had to do all the folding. Here are the easy to follow pictures.

Cute as can be.

Fold from the right to left corner.

Then fold the right corner in again.
You will have a piece hanging over the edge fold
and tuck that that under.

And you will be left with this. I didn't connect my
all the way around because I wanted to put
it on Evies play table against the wall.

Evie and I decorated hers like this. But the
possibilities are endless!
